From a young age in Peru, our father, José Gabriel Díaz, discovered his love for baking in his family’s bakery. Seeking better opportunities, he emigrated to Miami in 1972, where he played a key role in introducing French Bread in Miami by helping open the city’s first French bread bakery.

Over the years, his dream of owning his own business became a reality, and in 1981, he founded Le Fournil Bakery. The name “fournil” comes from French and means “bakehouse,” reflecting our essence from day one.

What started as a small business—where our father was the baker, salesman, and deliveryman—soon grew into a well-established bakery. In 1986, due to increasing demand, we moved our operations to Westchester, Miami, where we continue to serve our community with the same passion and dedication as always.

Today, with our father’s passion and our family’s dedication, we are proud to continue his legacy, crafting the most delicious and authentic French bread. For us, quality, tradition, and commitment to our customers are fundamental values that have guided our journey for over 40 years.
